JULY 8: VIBES AND TRIES
The 4th of July weekend kind of kicked my butt. I was out in the sun more than normal, cocktails every day and of course lobster rolls were had. Combine that with one of those super busy weeks and well, let’s just say I’m glad it is a short week because I’m in need of a weekend…again.
The vibes are going to be chill but productive and there are a few things a want to try too. First order of business: show my fig ivy who’s boss. I have been trying to get our ivy to grow for a while now and it’s pretty much letting me down at every chance. I don’t get why it doesn’t understand that I need it to hurry the eff up. How long does one have to wait for effortlessly chic vines of french-like perfection to cover one’s house? It’s taking too long. Not giving up though! This weekend I’m going to roll up my sleeves, take a sip of my frosé and put in some work.
The heat in Austin isn’t letting up anytime soon which means it’s cut-offs every day. I can’t be bothered with doing my hair while I’m griping about the 100 degree temps so…hats everyday. This beauty is on heavy rotation right now. I think I’ll wear this baby to dinner on Saturday. We have a dinner on the books with two of our favorite friends followed by a Sunday that I’m hoping will include a trip to Cow Tipping Creamery. This place has been on my radar for a while and it’s time to check it out! It’s hot out there, y’all…go get some ice cream and enjoy the weekend! Send me good #vinevibes. xx
